What is ApexCharts?
Licensing settled, ApexCharts is back to changing what a chart can take as input.
ApexCharts is deep into a fast v6 line, shipping roughly weekly. The licensing arc that dominated 6.5 through 6.7 — trial watermarks, the first premium-gated chart type, then entitlement checks — has settled, and the last three releases are library work again. 6.9.0 is the largest of them: a histogram type that bins raw samples, a morph engine that conserves marks across chart types, and the end of the library's dependency-free packaging.
What is Usermaven?
Usermaven closed the loop: data comes in from anywhere, and now it goes back out.
Three consecutive releases have each opened a different edge of the product. Event Sources brought conversion events in from payments, CRMs and spreadsheets without code; the MCP server let any AI client query the workspace; the newest adds a read-only Salesforce connection, Reverse ETL pushing Usermaven audiences into operational tools, external MCP connectors feeding Maven AI outside context, and configurable engagement scoring. Underneath, the analysis surfaces were consolidated earlier in the summer into Analytics Hub and a command bar.

Charts increasingly accept the measurements a team actually has instead of pre-aggregated values, and the seams that let you hand a chart its own layout — plotOptions.unit.positions, the pluggable layout hook — are being filled in with kits rather than hard-coded options. The premium boundary has stopped moving; the free catalogue keeps growing around it.

Expect the raw-observation pattern to reach another chart type now that the bar pathway handles binning, and expect the remaining pluggable seams to get companion kits the way positions just did.

◆ Where it's heading
The shape is a product deliberately becoming a hub rather than a destination. Ingest, query and activation have each been generalized in turn, and the common design choice is to hand the boundary to a standard or a connector rather than build integrations one at a time. What is left proprietary is the middle — identity resolution, attribution, engagement scoring — which is where the release notes keep adding configurability. The Salesforce connection being read-only in its first cut fits the pattern: land the schema mapping, then open the write path.
◆ Prediction
Salesforce write-back is the obvious next step, since Reverse ETL already exists as the mechanism and the entry marks read-only as a first release. Expect more CRM connectors on the same template — read-only, per-org field mapping, sandbox first.
