Stigg
Stigg adds credit reservation and settlement for AI operations days after its agent SDK.
A side-by-side editorial comparison of Braintree and GOAT.tax — release velocity, themes, recent moves, and the top alternatives to consider.
Braintree has been folded into PayPal Enterprise Payments — the feed is now PayPal's marketing site.
There is no changelog here. Every captured entry is a page from PayPal's enterprise marketing site or the Braintree login screen, and the one piece of real information is the banner on that login page: Braintree is now PayPal Enterprise Payments. The remaining entries advertise fraud protection, global payouts, PCI compliance and developer docs.
GOAT.tax adds Form 6765 Section G reporting for large R&D credit filers.
GOAT.tax is filling in what Form 6765 requires. The 10/15 release adds a Qualified Activity Type breakdown (direct research, supervision, support) for studies that meet the Section G thresholds, captures EIN and NAICS codes for the report, and extends bulk SME assignment to wage and expense workspaces. Earlier releases added multi-company support, partner white-labeling, a Controlled Group data model and broader state credit coverage.

The visible direction is consolidation of brand rather than product. Braintree's identity is being absorbed into PayPal's enterprise offering, with the surrounding pages positioning it as one part of a wider platform spanning PayPal, Pay Later, Venmo and orchestration. No release, version or dated change appears anywhere in the window.
Further captures from this source will keep returning marketing pages rather than changes. What the rebrand means for the Braintree APIs and SDKs that merchants integrate against is the question that matters, and these entries do not answer it.

The product is moving upmarket: Section G applies only to filers above $1.5M in QREs and $50M in gross receipts, and multi-company plus Controlled Group work targets complex corporate structures. A steady UI redesign of workspaces runs alongside, aimed at making large studies manageable.
Expect the Controlled Group model to surface as user-facing computations, and Section G output to flow into the generated 6765 report within the next few releases.
