Contributor volume is high and spread across sponsors — Atorus, Roche, GSK and others show up in the PR lists — which is what keeps a validated-context package moving without a single owner.

That discipline has now paid off in the only way it could — 0.4.0 stable ships a Windows installer, a notarized macOS disk image and a Linux AppImage that can all update themselves, with failed verification preserving the running version. The feed's long-standing pattern of dev.NN builds with no final has broken; feature work and shipping work were on separate tracks, and the shipping track arrived first.
