◆Current state
Recent releases cluster on collaboration and workspace management rather than drawing tools. Teammate avatars show who is online and which storyboard they are viewing, storyboards can be sent for client review directly from the presentation view, projects can be multi-selected to move or archive in bulk, and frame size can now be changed after a storyboard exists. The crop tool was rebuilt with a faster interface and free rotation.
◆Where it's heading
The work targets friction around the artifact rather than the artifact itself. Presence and in-app review replace the copy-link-and-email loop that storyboard feedback normally runs through, and bulk project actions plus retroactive aspect-ratio changes address workspaces that have accumulated real volume. The pattern points at teams and agencies with many concurrent projects rather than individual illustrators.
◆Prediction
Expect the review path to deepen next, with comment and approval state tracked on the storyboard rather than resolved over email, since sending for review is only the first half of that loop.

    Presence avatars, permanent archive delete, no credits for failed generations

    A monthly roundup: presence avatars in the storyboard header, permanent deletion of archived projects, full-resolution saved images, and failed generations no longer consuming credits. The credit change is the one users will feel most — it removes the cost of iterating on a prompt that misfires.

    Real-Time Team Activity

    Teammate avatars in the storyboard header show who is online and who has this exact board open, collapsing to a +N counter past five people. Part of the collaboration layer being built around the AI frame tools.

    Multiple projects can be selected in the sidebar to move or archive at once. Small workspace-management change, framed by Boords itself as exactly that.

    Send for Review

    Storyboards can be emailed for client review straight from the presentation view, and a new Activity panel tracks views, comments and link opens including from clients without accounts. Closes the loop between sending work and knowing it was seen.

    Improved Crop Tool

    The crop tool gains a faster UI and rotation through any angle, with crops saved as frame revisions so the original survives. Small, but it inherits the revision model introduced days earlier.
