Corteza 2026.9.0 goes final after a week of single-fix candidates.

◆Current state
Corteza shipped 2026.9.0 on October 19, closing a run of release candidates that each fixed one edge: MySQL 8 cast checks in rc.4, deny rules in permission reports in rc.5 and MySQL-compatible reminder timestamps in rc.6. The release entry only links to the 2026.9 changelog. Before this, the feed was a slow patch train on the 2024.9 line, ending at 2024.9.10 in late August.
◆Where it's heading
The jump from 2024.9 to 2026.9 opens a new major line after two years on the old one. Two of the final three fixes targeted MySQL, which suggests the release was validated across database backends. What the new line adds for users still isn't visible in the feed.
◆Prediction
Expect 2026.9.x patch releases to follow the same pattern as 2024.9, with occasional fixes over months. Whether 2024.9 keeps receiving patches is unclear from the entries.

Corteza 2026.9 rc.5 fixes deny rules in permission reports

rc.5 makes permission reports ignore deny rules on roles the caller cannot actually hold, so reports reflect effective access rather than every rule on the books. A second correctness fix in two days as the 2026.9 line moves toward a final.

Corteza 2026.9 rc.4 fixes MySQL 8 cast checks

The fourth candidate for the new 2026.9 line fixes cast-value checks that MySQL 8 rejected. The fix itself is small, but it is the first visible entry from a release line two years newer than everything else in the feed.

Corteza 2024.9.10 cuts workflow session memory use

The final 2024.9.10 release ships the two workflow-memory fixes tested in its release candidates. For teams running heavy automations it is the most practical update on the 2024.9 line, and likely its last major patch before 2026.9.

RC4: skip workflow scope snapshots for uninspected steps

A release candidate that skips scope snapshots for workflow steps that will never be inspected. It is an internal optimization that landed in 2024.9.10.
