Octopus.do adds an activity feed and email digests, filling in the team layer around its agent apps.

◆Current state
Octopus.do is a sitemap and content-planning tool that became agent-operable in August through official ChatGPT and Claude apps, an MCP server, and a public REST API. September has been about teams: project templates, Google Analytics data on the sitemap, a workspace-level shared symbol library on the Team plan, and now an Activity page that lists comments and changes across a user's projects, with email delivery at a chosen pace.
◆Where it's heading
Two tracks run in parallel. The agent interface makes the sitemap something an assistant can build or edit directly; the collaboration features (roles, shared symbols, templates, activity) make the workspace the place a team's site planning lives. Four releases in September against one every month or two earlier in the year shows the pace picking up, and most of the new surface is aimed at multi-person, multi-project accounts.
◆Prediction
The next releases likely keep extending workspace-level features, with more of them gated to the Team plan as the symbol library was. Whether agent-made changes will surface in the new activity feed is not stated in the entries.

    Activity and notifications

An Activity page collects comments and changes across the projects a user takes part in, with the same feed delivered by email at a chosen frequency. It is the awareness layer the recent team features needed: shared symbols and roles create cross-project change, and this makes that change visible.

    Shared symbol library

Shared symbol library moves reusable elements from the project level to the workspace level: edit a symbol once and every project using it updates. A real workflow gain for teams running many related projects, and a reason to be on the Team plan.

    Google Analytics on your sitemap

Google Analytics data now sits alongside the sitemap: page views, users, and engagement time per page. It turns a structural diagram into a working view for content audits and for checking structural decisions against actual behavior.

Save any project as a template

Any project can now be saved as a template for the next one. The same note also covers a crawl import that fills pages with blocks and wireframes, a structure sidebar, and pinned sitemaps: a month of functional expansion condensed into one entry.

    Octopus in ChatGPT and Claude

    ⚡ SPARK

Official apps in ChatGPT and Claude let an assistant build or edit a sitemap inside a user's Octopus account, with an MCP server and public REST API underneath. This is the most directional move in the visible history: the tool becomes agent-operable, and the team features that followed build the workspace those agents act in.

    Copywriter role in team projects

A Copywriter role lands between Commenter and Editor: copywriters can write page and block content and fill in SEO tags but cannot change the sitemap structure. Practical for agencies that split structure and copy across different people.
