◆Current state
Sonarr is publishing 5.0 test builds every few days. Recent ones added a Trakt Smart List import, an option to pass seed time to qBittorrent as an inactive-seeding limit, Remember Me for OIDC login and lower-memory media info migration. Accessibility work continues, with screen-reader feedback for form errors, named icon-only controls and an accessible Calendar.
◆Where it's heading
5.0 is in a polish phase: each build mixes small features from contributors with accessibility and UI fixes, after the earlier builds removed Basic Auth and tightened file safety. The pace suggests the team is converging on a stable 5.0.
◆Prediction
Expect more accessibility and migration fixes before 5.0 reaches the stable channel; new large features look unlikely this late.

    Sonarr 5.0 build 2785: OIDC Remember Me, lighter migration

    Build 2785 adds Remember Me for OIDC login, lets users unmonitor seasons of an unmonitored series, and splits the media info migration into batches to use less memory. Wildcard Allowed Hosts and Wanted list refresh are fixed.

    Build 2742 adds a Trakt Smart List import list and an option to send seed time to qBittorrent as an inactive-seeding limit. These are two of the few new features in a run of 5.0 polish builds.

    Sonarr 5.0 build adds responsive layout and screen-reader labels

    Build 2701 adds a responsive sidebar and header and screen-reader labels for forms and modals. It also fixes series files being moved after every path change and On Import Complete notifications naming the wrong series. The 5.0 cycle is now in accessibility and polish rather than scope changes.

    Sonarr 5.0 build validates database restores, adds type-ahead

    The latest 5.0 build validates a restored database and keeps the previous copy until the restore finishes, removing a way to lose a working install. Type-ahead in selects, fixed keyboard shortcuts and a lifted 400 MiB/min quality-size cap round out a build that is mostly polish, consistent with 5.0 nearing release.
