AI-powered SEO platform for content optimization and keyword research

Surfer turns AI visibility into a to-do list, now reaching into server logs and off-page work.

◆Current state
Surfer now scores content for both Google rankings and AI-search citations, and its MCP server has left beta for Pro and higher plans. The October batch widens the AI-visibility surface: Recommendations now rank off-page moves like earning mentions and fixing sentiment, and a closed-beta Agent Analytics reads server logs to show which pages AI crawlers actually fetch. Distribution is broadening too, with the WordPress plugin now running the full Content Editor and the app shipping in French and Polish.
◆Where it's heading
Since May the thread has been programmatic access plus AI-search measurement. API expansion led to MCP beta, and MCP is now generally available. Each AI-visibility release closes another gap between what Surfer measures and what it tells you to do, and that now extends beyond your own pages. Surfer is positioning itself as the system of record for how a brand appears in AI answers, not only as a writing aid.
◆Prediction
Agent Analytics and the rebuilt Topical Map are both pre-release, so the next move is likely one of them opening up. Their data would probably feed into Recommendations the same way AI Tracker did in August.

◆Recent moves

Surfer in French and Polish: The Whole App in Your Team's Language

Full French and Polish interfaces broaden Surfer beyond English-first teams. This is distribution work rather than capability, but it matters for agencies running non-English content operations.

Agent Analytics: See Which Pages AI Crawlers Actually Visit

Agent Analytics adds a first-party data source to Surfer's AI-visibility stack: server logs showing which pages AI crawlers request and how often. It pairs with AI Tracker's prompt-side view, though it is still in closed beta.

  3. 24d ago

Surfer Wordpress Plugin: Now With the Full Power of Content Editor

The WordPress plugin now embeds the live Content Editor instead of a reduced view. Surfer is putting its core scoring loop wherever content gets published, the same impulse behind the API and MCP work.

What's New at Surfer? October 2026 Product Roundup

Monthly roundup headlined by MCP leaving beta. It repackages releases covered in their own entries rather than adding anything new.

Recommendations: Know Your Next Move for AI Visibility, On and Off Your Site

Recommendations now draw on AI Search Analytics and rank off-page actions, such as earning a mention or climbing a cited listicle, next to on-page edits. This extends the August AI Tracker integration from your own site into the sources AI answers cite.
