Userback

INFRA · APIS
Velocity5.0

User feedback, bug reporting, and session replay tool for web products — collect annotated screenshots, video recordings, and in-app surveys from real users.

Userback's Sites turn out to be a multi-site workspace, and the first follow-up targets agencies.

◆Current state
Userback has spent 2026 widening where feedback comes from (mobile SDK, Slack, mobile surveys) and adding an AI layer on top (Insights themes, video transcription, AI Context Search). The October 28 follow-up finally shows what Sites is: a per-site container with its own Site Key, settings, widget and feedback list. The new tools are prefixed readable feedback IDs that pass through to Jira, copying widget settings between Sites, open-feedback counts on the Sites page, and survey targeting by query string and hash.
◆Where it's heading
Sites moves Userback toward running many properties from one account. Copying widget settings and sorting Sites by open feedback are built for agencies with a Site per client. The readable IDs that travel into Jira and other integrations show the same push seen in the 'Sent to Integrations' filter: making Userback the traceable start of a ticket, not a separate inbox.
◆Prediction
Expect more cross-Site tooling, such as copying integrations or templates between Sites, since the October 28 notes say integrations still have to be set up per Site.

Feedback IDs, and more improvements for Sites

The first follow-up to Sites shows what the October 5 launch was: a per-site workspace with its own key and settings. Copy Widget Settings and open-feedback counts on the Sites page target accounts that run many Sites, and prefixed IDs carried into Jira tie feedback to the tickets it creates.

    Introducing Sites

Userback calls Sites its biggest recent release, but the captured changelog entry describes nothing beyond that line. It is the first release after two months without updates, and it can't be placed against Insights or the mobile SDK until details are available.

Userback Mobile SDK: Now With Surveys

Mobile SDK gains survey capability, closing a feature gap between mobile and web feedback collection. Teams can now run the same survey workflows for mobile users they already use on web, without a separate tool or pipeline. Incremental expansion of an SDK that only launched four months earlier.

    New Feature: Notification History

Notification delivery status tracking (Sent, Delivered, Failed, Bounced, Suppressed) adds operational visibility for debugging notification issues. Useful infrastructure transparency, but not a user-visible capability change.

Merging Duplicate Feedback Just Got a Lot Faster

Inline duplicate merging removes a context-switch from the feedback review workflow — users can now merge duplicates without leaving their current view. A real friction reduction in the core triage loop, but no new capability.

    New Feature: Video Transcription

Automatic transcription of video feedback makes recordings searchable and readable without watching them, which meaningfully changes how teams can process video submissions at scale. Fits the broader pattern of reducing the manual work of reviewing feedback — but it's a supporting move for the Insights intelligence layer rather than a standalone direction.
