Z-Wave protocol driver implementation for home automation in JavaScript

Z-Wave JS v15.31.2 puts endpoint grouping to work across a batch of meters and shutters.

◆Current state
v15.31.2 is a patch with four driver fixes: invalid Powerlevel statuses rejected, nvmedit ignoring stale bytes, migrated 700/800 controllers set to Static Controller, and application presets no longer overwritten. It also adds ten device config changes, eight of them using the v15.31.0 endpoint grouping feature for Zipato, Qubino, Aeotec, Shelly and Intermatic devices.
◆Where it's heading
The project is in a steady cycle: a feature minor about every two to four weeks, followed by patches that apply the new feature through device configs. The RCP firmware driver from v15.28 and command deduplication from v15.29 were the last big capability moves. Since then, work has gone into config coverage and controller-migration correctness.
◆Prediction
Expect v15.32.0 in the next few weeks, with more device configs moving to endpoint grouping in the patches that follow it.

v15.31.2: migration fixes and endpoint grouping for eight devices

A patch that fixes controller-migration device classes and app preset overrides, then applies v15.31.0's endpoint grouping to eight more devices. It shows the new config feature paying off quickly.

v15.31.1: Application Busy retries, NVM restore and route rebuild fixes

A patch for the controller and network paths: NVM restore and 500-series OTW updates stop aborting themselves during soft reset, Application Busy replies trigger a delayed retry, and overlapping network-wide route rebuilds are blocked. The Aeotec HEM 8 is the first config to use the endpoint grouping added in v15.31.0.

v15.31.0: endpoint grouping via config files, stricter config lints

Endpoint grouping can now be defined in device config files, letting multi-endpoint devices be handled without driver code. New lint rules for firmware version ranges show the config database is being put under stricter quality control.

v15.30.0: rare command parsing and new Aeotec, Nice, Shelly configs

Parsing for rarely seen commands plus about a dozen device config additions and corrections, including the Aeotec MultiSensor 8. It is a coverage release that follows the deduplication and RCP work of the previous two minors.

Command deduplication and persisted lastAwake in v15.29.0

v15.29.0 adds automatic deduplication of redundant and superseded commands — the driver now aborts or merges overlapping transactions rather than queueing them all. The new `lastAwake` property persists node wake-up times across restarts. Both are foundational reliability improvements for battery-powered device management.

Z-Wave JS ships a nine-PR RCP firmware driver overhaul with Nabu Casa support

    ⚡ SPARK

v15.28.0 is the largest single-version push on RCP driver capability in this range — nine PRs covering the experimental firmware driver, Nabu Casa controller bootloader version detection, firmware update service chip version reporting, and Z-Wave CTT PTI capture parsing for Zniffer. The breadth signals a transition from experimental to near-production for the RCP hardware path.
