Hatchet
Hatchet takes durable tasks serverless, with handlers for Cloudflare Workers, Vercel and Node.
A side-by-side editorial comparison of Aviator and Payload CMS — release velocity, themes, recent moves, and the top alternatives to consider.
Aviator moves from merging code to judging it: Verify checks PRs against their stated intent.
Aviator is a merge queue and stacked PR platform. On October 20 it introduced Verify, which checks each pull request against what the change is supposed to do and the team's standing rules, so reviewers weigh evidence instead of reading the whole diff. That follows the October 1 beta in which an LLM separates flaky check failures from real ones and keeps PRs queued, plus September's queue timing metrics and August's support for GitHub's native stacked PRs.
Payload 4.0 beta 5 is a fix release with one adapter-facing breaking change.
Payload v4.0.0-beta.5 is a short fix list: password validation on reset, hidden fields excluded from GraphQL mutation inputs, plugins able to override other plugins' options, and signed upload receipts. Its one breaking change moves extra upload fields into clientData for adapters running without receipts, which no first-party adapter does. Beta releases now ship per-package SBOMs.

The arc runs from moving PRs (MergeQueue, stacks, Inbox) to deciding whether they are correct. April exposed stacks to AI coding agents, October 1 put an LLM inside the queue, and Verify now puts one in front of review, with criteria the agent writes after building. Aviator is positioning itself as the control layer for agent-written code between commit and merge.
Expect Verify results to feed the merge queue as a gate, since the same company owns both steps. The entries give no timing, and the docs fragments suggest the feature is still early.

The 4.0 beta lands every three to five days, and each one is smaller than the last. beta.0 shipped the admin redesign, TanStack support and the new MCP. Later betas covered adapters, Next.js cache components and accessibility, and beta.5 is mostly correctness and supply-chain hygiene, which suggests a release candidate is close.
Expect one or two more fix-only betas, then a 4.0 release candidate. The SBOM addition suggests supply-chain artifacts will carry over to stable releases.
