What is Expo?

Expo SDK 58 goes stable a month after its beta, with EAS Observe now covering native crashes.

Expo shipped SDK 58 as stable on October 15, a month after the September beta; the published entry carries no release notes beyond the announcement. Around it, EAS is being built into an operations platform: Observe went GA in August, gained a one-command PostHog hookup in September, and now records native crashes alongside JavaScript errors.

What is Redocly?

Redocly's reunite.agent gets per-duty cron schedules, rules and source repos.

Redocly shipped three Reunite releases and a config release on Oct 28. The feedback and discovery duties in reunite.agent can now each run on their own UTC cron trigger, follow their own rules and read only listed source repositories. SCIM provisioning now accepts identity-provider groups of any size, where pushes over 1,000 members used to fail. @redocly/config 0.69.0 also adds per-rule impact settings for the experimental diff command.

Expo SDK 58 goes stable a month after its beta, with EAS Observe now covering native crashes.

◆ Current state

Expo shipped SDK 58 as stable on October 15, a month after the September beta; the published entry carries no release notes beyond the announcement. Around it, EAS is being built into an operations platform: Observe went GA in August, gained a one-command PostHog hookup in September, and now records native crashes alongside JavaScript errors.

◆ Where it's heading

The direction is post-build observability: the service that builds and ships an app also tells you when it breaks in production. Native crash coverage closes the most obvious gap that would have pushed teams to a separate crash reporter. AI work has moved from owning an agent to being reachable from other people's agents.

◆ Prediction

Expect SDK 58 patch releases and Observe features that tie crashes to specific EAS updates. What SDK 58 itself changes is not visible in the entry, so its weight is unclear.

Redocly's reunite.agent gets per-duty cron schedules, rules and source repos.

◆ Current state

Redocly shipped three Reunite releases and a config release on Oct 28. The feedback and discovery duties in reunite.agent can now each run on their own UTC cron trigger, follow their own rules and read only listed source repositories. SCIM provisioning now accepts identity-provider groups of any size, where pushes over 1,000 members used to fail. @redocly/config 0.69.0 also adds per-rule impact settings for the experimental diff command.

◆ Where it's heading

Two threads run together: an agent inside Reunite that does recurring docs work (feedback and discovery) and is gaining scheduling and scoping controls, and enterprise plumbing such as SCIM scale, Git token rotation and permission fixes. Last week's configurable docs MCP server points the same way, with Redocly adding AI surfaces and making them configurable in redocly.yaml.

◆ Prediction

Expect more reunite.agent duty types or options in @redocly/config, and the experimental diff command moving toward a documented API-change check.
