Hatchet
Hatchet takes durable tasks serverless, with handlers for Cloudflare Workers, Vercel and Node.
A side-by-side editorial comparison of incident.io and Portainer — release velocity, themes, recent moves, and the top alternatives to consider.
incident.io's agent now runs your team's own tools, with a human approval before any change.
Investigations, the agent that posts a root-cause hypothesis when an incident opens, is the center of incident.io; it went GA and then doubled its speed in September. In October the company pushed its agent skills out into coding harnesses, then opened Nexus to customers' own tools and know-how. The 10-28 release restates that extension model and adds an explicit step: any change the agent proposes waits for a human approval before it runs.
Portainer 2.45.3 drops trust in eMudhra certificates and scopes kubeconfig tokens per environment.
Portainer 2.45.3 LTS stops trusting eMudhra emSign certificates after the compromise of eight intermediates, which can break SSO, LDAPS, registry and Git connections that use them. It also limits downloaded kubeconfig tokens to one environment's Kubernetes proxy, blocks a volumes_from route around hidden bind mounts, and patches a batch of critical Go and Helm CVEs.

incident.io is turning its agent into a two-way integration point that can act, not just diagnose. Skills go out to developers' agents, internal tools and team context come in, and the approval gate is what makes write access acceptable during an incident. Dashboards, ticket sync and alert routing keep incident.io as the record the agent reads from and writes to.
Expect worked examples for common connected systems such as deploy or feature-flag tools, and Investigations that propose concrete remediation steps for approval. The entries do not say how extensions are built or priced.

Every release in the 2.45 line has closed another way for non-admins or tokens to reach beyond their scope: the Docker proxy bypass, SSRF, bind-mount escapes, and now kubeconfig tokens. Native Kubernetes APIs from 2.45.0 make that tightening possible, and GitOps polling keeps getting reliability fixes alongside.
Expect a 2.39 LTS backport of the eMudhra and kubeconfig changes, and further token and permission scoping in the next 2.45 patch.
