Hatchet
Hatchet takes durable tasks serverless, with handlers for Cloudflare Workers, Vercel and Node.
A side-by-side editorial comparison of NetBird and Prowler — release velocity, themes, recent moves, and the top alternatives to consider.
NetBird's second v0.82 candidate keeps the MySQL removal and deprecates Rosenpass.
NetBird is preparing v0.82 as a breaking release for self-hosters. Both candidates remove MySQL, require a migration to PostgreSQL, and move reverse-proxy access logs to their own store. rc.2 adds a Rosenpass deprecation notice with a replacement said to be in final testing, and tightens the SSH server: the root-login setting now applies to uid 0, and path-bearing locale, TERM and TZ values from clients are refused.
Prowler 5.46 groups scan findings into issues and extends AI checks to Bedrock and Vertex.
Prowler ships a minor release every one to two weeks. 5.46.0 adds an Issues page to Prowler Cloud that groups a scan's findings into issues with a verdict, new AWS Bedrock, Cognito and WAFv2 checks, a five-check Vertex AI Workbench service on GCP, and checks for PHP runtimes left exposed by the PHP2Shell CVEs across AWS, GCP and Azure. Google Workspace checks now account for the tenant's edition and read the policy Google actually applies.

After v0.81 focused on device trust through certificate posture checks, v0.82 is about the management plane's storage and on hardening the built-in SSH server. Deprecating Rosenpass signals a change in how NetBird approaches post-quantum key exchange, though the entries do not name the replacement.
Expect v0.82.0 final with the MySQL removal intact, and a later release introducing the Rosenpass replacement.

The open-source engine keeps absorbing coverage where risk is moving: hosted AI services first on Azure in 5.45, now on AWS and GCP, plus fast responses to named CVEs. The paid cloud product keeps adding triage layers on top, from AI fixes per finding to issue grouping, making the free CLI the data source and Prowler Cloud the place findings get worked.
Expect AI-service coverage to keep widening across providers and further Prowler Cloud triage features built on the new issue grouping.
