Rivet 3.0 Preview runs as one stateless binary on WarpDrive, with S3 as its only dependency.
Rivet has spent two months building infrastructure for long-lived actors and AI agents: BYOC in customer clouds, OpenTelemetry tracing, actor-scoped JWTs, Pi agent runtimes and agentOS Hosted VMs. On October 5 it said 3.0 would replace NATS with S3. The October 26 3.0 Preview delivers that: a new storage engine, WarpDrive, promises bottomless storage on S3 at SSD speed, and Rivet becomes a single stateless binary.
Z-Wave JS UI 11.25.2 fixes HTTPS certificates that the new Node 24 image rejected.
Z-Wave JS UI mostly tracks the zwave-js driver, but 11.25.0 was a fuller feature release with Configuration CC entity defaults, tighter column filters and min/max/step value hints. The Docker image moved to Node 24 in that release, and 11.25.2 now regenerates self-signed HTTPS certificates that Node 24 rejected. 11.25.1 bumped Node to 24.22.1 and zwave-js to 15.31.2.

Each release removes operational burden: BYOC moved the control plane into the customer's cloud, and 3.0 reduces the self-hosted footprint to one binary plus an S3 bucket. The agent work (Pi, agentOS) sits on top as the main workload Rivet is courting.
Expect benchmarks and migration guidance for 2.x users during the preview, followed by a 3.0 GA. The entry gives no performance numbers, so the SSD-speed claim is unverified.

Releases alternate between thin driver bumps and occasional UI and Home Assistant discovery batches. The Node 24 move is producing its own follow-up fixes, and the Home Assistant integration remains where most user-facing changes land.
Expect the next releases to go back to zwave-js and Node patch bumps, possibly with more Node 24 compatibility fixes, and another UI batch in a few weeks.
