◆Current state
Skedda's last quarter has been about making the data it collects visible and usable: Occupancy Insights, multi-venue comparison, richer visit exports, a read-only API beta and a redesigned Visits page. Skedda Companion 1.2 now installs through Intune, Jamf, Kandji or any MDM and enrols users automatically, so check-ins can be verified from laptop presence without QR codes or hardware.
◆Where it's heading
Skedda is shifting from a booking front end to a source of workplace attendance data. Companion's MDM rollout aims at complete presence coverage, which makes the occupancy analytics and API more valuable as more laptops report in.
◆Prediction
Expect occupancy and presence data to reach the API, since Skedda said more API capabilities are planned and Companion now feeds richer attendance data.

    Companion 1.2 lets IT deploy through any MDM and enrol every user automatically, removing the opt-in gap in presence-based check-ins. It feeds the occupancy analytics push with data from every laptop rather than a volunteer subset.

    See visitor status and custom fields at a glance

    The Visits page now shows per-visit status counts and a visitor table with check-in times and custom-field answers, so admins no longer need an export to see them. It follows July's export rework and continues the pattern of bringing visitor data into the app.

    A new Occupancy tab in Insights turns presence data into headcount trends and attendance by person or team, with exports for RTO reporting. It's the core reporting feature behind Skedda's move toward workplace analytics, limited to Plus and Premier plans.

    Improved visit exports, now with custom field data

    Visit exports now come in Summary and Breakdown formats with custom-field data and filter-aware XLSX/CSV output. It set up the data that the later Visits page redesign shows inline.
