AI-native workspace combining notes, tasks, and knowledge management with a flexible graph-based structure

The knowledge graph quietly turned itself into a meetings product.

Current state
Every release in this window touches meetings. Tana added a pre-meeting hub card, an always-on-top join nudge for internal calls, one-click conversion of a scheduled call into an external capture, a Present palette in the call toolbar, a voice picker for meeting agents, and action cards on Today for starting, scheduling or capturing a meeting. The AI work runs alongside it — chat that costs fewer tokens for the same quality, and an assistant that can pin things or hand you a shareable link to a document it referenced.
Where it's heading
Tana is moving from a tool that stores what happened in a meeting to one that runs the meeting. Native Tana calls are now the default path on Today, with Zoom, Meet and Teams demoted to a capture case handled through desktop audio. The agent work points the same way: voices for meeting agents, AI that acts immediately rather than proposing changes for approval. The graph is becoming the substrate rather than the interface.
Prediction
Given the pace of meeting-surface work and the AI moving from proposals to direct action, the next step is most likely deepening what agents can do during a live call. Nothing in these entries indicates how the token optimisation affects the underlying usage limits.

AI chat goes further before hitting usage limits

AI chat is re-optimised to use substantially fewer tokens at the same quality, so usage limits bite less often — a cost problem being solved rather than a capability being added. The assistant can also now hand you a shareable link to any document or meeting it referenced, across app, voice, agent routines and Slack.

Ask the AI to pin things for you

The AI can now pin and unpin docs, spaces, agents and types, and — notably — applies the change immediately with no proposal to approve. That shift from suggesting to acting is a small but real change in how much authority the assistant holds.

Start, schedule, or capture external meetings right from Today

    ⚡ SPARK

The release that puts starting a meeting at the top of the Today page. New Meeting becomes the main path for ad-hoc or scheduled Tana calls, and External Capture handles everything held elsewhere — completing the arc the previous month of pre-meeting work was building toward.

Never miss an upcoming Tana meeting

The always-on-top pre-meeting card, previously reserved for external Zoom, Meet and Teams calls, now appears before internal Tana meetings with two or more people and offers a direct Join. Small, but it treats native calls as first-class alongside the ones Tana merely captures.

Present and capture, in one click

A scheduled Tana call can be converted to a computer-audio capture in one action, and a new Present button consolidates screen sharing and everything else that goes on the shared stage into a single palette. Both reduce the number of decisions a user makes in the seconds before a call starts.

    A pre-meeting hub

A single pre-call event card gathers the join button, the RSVP-grouped attendee list with in-call participants promoted, inline rename and reschedule for organizers, the provider meeting URL, and a Move to Tana option for synced Google, Teams and Zoom events. The groundwork the later meeting releases build on.
