Axure has grown from its RP prototyping desktop app into Axure Cloud, a collaborative canvas with whiteboards and documents (out of beta in late 2025). The retention story — keeping video production teams inside Boords rather than splitting across Google Docs, Frame.io, and Dropbox — is getting stronger with each release. The next gap is the transition out of Boords and into production tools.
◆ Prediction
Animatic or rough-cut timeline export from storyboards is the likely next release — the pipeline now goes from script in to reviewed storyboard out; closing the loop to rough-cut delivery would complete the pre-production surface and give Boords a clear handoff point to editors.
