Fellow vs Zoho Cliq: at a glance
What is Fellow?
Fellow's public changelog has been silent since 2021 — no recent direction is observable here.
The visible signal stops in spring 2021. The last few releases were calendar-extension touch-ups: action items appearing directly in the Google Calendar extension, public view-only meeting links for external attendees, and multi-calendar sync within a single Google or Office account. Nothing in this dataset reflects the past several years of Fellow's actual work.
What is Zoho Cliq?
Zoho Cliq is opening its bot platform to AI coding agents through MCP tools.
Cliq 7.0 shipped in August with AI summarisation, a developer platform refresh and Cliq Mini embedded across Zoho apps. September added reworked guest access, Cliq Rooms on Neat hardware and per-role subscription plans. In October Cliq published MCP tools for its developer platform, so automations can be generated with an AI coding assistant instead of written by hand.

Fellow
0.0COMMS
Fellow's public changelog has been silent since 2021 — no recent direction is observable here.
◆ Current state
The visible signal stops in spring 2021. The last few releases were calendar-extension touch-ups: action items appearing directly in the Google Calendar extension, public view-only meeting links for external attendees, and multi-calendar sync within a single Google or Office account. Nothing in this dataset reflects the past several years of Fellow's actual work.
◆ Where it's heading
From the entries alone, no current trajectory can be inferred — the data is years stale. Whether Fellow has shifted to AI-meeting-notes or remained focused on the original meeting-management surface is not visible here and would be guesswork to assert.
◆ Prediction
Predictions can't be grounded in this data. The most useful next step is to refresh Fellow's changelog source so that present-day moves are captured.
Zoho Cliq
6.3COMMS
Zoho Cliq is opening its bot platform to AI coding agents through MCP tools.
◆ Current state
Cliq 7.0 shipped in August with AI summarisation, a developer platform refresh and Cliq Mini embedded across Zoho apps. September added reworked guest access, Cliq Rooms on Neat hardware and per-role subscription plans. In October Cliq published MCP tools for its developer platform, so automations can be generated with an AI coding assistant instead of written by hand.
◆ Where it's heading
Cliq is turning into the messaging layer of the Zoho suite and widening its reach: other Zoho apps, meeting-room hardware, external guests, and now AI agents that write its automations. The developer platform keeps lowering the cost of building bots and workflows, first through 7.0's low-code tooling and now through MCP. Pricing is moving the same way, with role-based plans meant to put more of each company on Cliq.
◆ Prediction
Expect more of the Cliq developer platform (bots, handlers, widgets) to be exposed through MCP. The entries don't show whether AI-assisted building will be priced separately.
