Chanty vs Twilio: at a glance
What is Chanty?
Chanty's feed is an HR statistics content mill, not a product changelog
Every entry in the window is a marketing article — referral, theft and satisfaction statistics roundups, plus a run of competitor-alternatives listicles published in a single batch. Nothing here describes a change to the messaging product itself.
What is Twilio?
Twilio follows Cohorts with three GA control APIs for webhooks, recording and caller trust.
Twilio's newest directional move is still Cohorts, a private-beta set of APIs for building lists, segmenting them and triggering bulk sends across email, SMS, RCS and WhatsApp. Since then it has shipped account-level controls: the Webhook Configuration API (GA) for per-URL authentication and delivery rules, a Voice Recording default-configuration API (GA in us1), and Voice Integrity registration across all three major US networks. Unified SendGrid logins and Intelligent Alerts in the new Console round out the month.

2.5COMMS
Chanty's feed is an HR statistics content mill, not a product changelog
◆ Current state
Every entry in the window is a marketing article — referral, theft and satisfaction statistics roundups, plus a run of competitor-alternatives listicles published in a single batch. Nothing here describes a change to the messaging product itself.
◆ Where it's heading
The publishing effort is going into search-driven HR and collaboration content aimed at buyers comparing team chat tools, with the alternatives posts targeting Slack, Yammer, Jive, Google Chat and Skype by name. Product direction cannot be read from this feed at all.
◆ Prediction
Expect more statistics roundups and comparison listicles; the feed gives no basis for predicting anything about the product.
Twilio
7.5SUPPORTCOMMS
Twilio follows Cohorts with three GA control APIs for webhooks, recording and caller trust.
◆ Current state
Twilio's newest directional move is still Cohorts, a private-beta set of APIs for building lists, segmenting them and triggering bulk sends across email, SMS, RCS and WhatsApp.
◆ Where it's heading
Twilio is moving up from delivery pipes toward owning the audience and the send decision, while making the plumbing configurable by API rather than per-request or per-console. Webhook rules, recording defaults and caller registration all shift settings to the account level, which is what large, regulated senders need before they trust bulk sends from Cohorts.
◆ Prediction
Expect Cohorts to widen beyond private beta and the new account-level APIs to reach regions beyond us1. The entries don't show Cohorts pricing or a GA date.
