What is Teamflect?

Teamflect is spending its releases on who can see what, and when.

Recent work is almost entirely administrative control rather than new employee-facing features. Feedback gained two deadline behaviors — results hidden until the submission date passes, and forms locked read-only once overdue. Goals gained an approval flow requiring manager sign-off before activation. Scoped admin rules now support AND conditions and can edit manager assignments within their scope. Releases arrive in batches, with eight of the last ten landing within ten minutes of each other.

What is Workyard?

Workyard's Time Assistant now does the pre-payroll cleanup a bookkeeper used to do by hand.

Workyard is building on two fronts. The AI Time Assistant has moved from fixing clock times and breaks to reading worker notes, proposing exact edits, reallocating hours across projects and cost codes from a plain-language request, and is now delegated down to managers scoped to their own crews. Separately, the back-office edge keeps widening: Acumatica sync, time off in QuickBooks Online exports, expense transaction exports to NetSuite and QuickBooks Desktop, and auto top-up for expense card funding.

Teamflect vs Workyard: editorial side-by-side

T5.0

Teamflect is spending its releases on who can see what, and when.

◆ Current state

Recent work is almost entirely administrative control rather than new employee-facing features. Feedback gained two deadline behaviors — results hidden until the submission date passes, and forms locked read-only once overdue. Goals gained an approval flow requiring manager sign-off before activation. Scoped admin rules now support AND conditions and can edit manager assignments within their scope. Releases arrive in batches, with eight of the last ten landing within ten minutes of each other.

◆ Where it's heading

The consistent target is data integrity in performance cycles. Hiding early responses and randomizing anonymous open-ended answers both address the same problem — feedback contaminated by what others already said — while locking overdue forms makes a deadline mean something rather than being advisory. Goal approvals and scoped admin precision point at larger organizations where a central HR team cannot personally review everything. Microsoft permission handling keeps getting clearer, which is expected for a product living inside Teams.

◆ Prediction

The scoped admin model looks like it is being built out toward full delegated administration; expect more per-scope capabilities on the manager-assignment pattern, and the deadline controls to extend from feedback into review cycles generally.

W7.5

Workyard's Time Assistant now does the pre-payroll cleanup a bookkeeper used to do by hand.

◆ Current state

Workyard is building on two fronts. The AI Time Assistant has moved from fixing clock times and breaks to reading worker notes, proposing exact edits, reallocating hours across projects and cost codes from a plain-language request, and is now delegated down to managers scoped to their own crews. Separately, the back-office edge keeps widening: Acumatica sync, time off in QuickBooks Online exports, expense transaction exports to NetSuite and QuickBooks Desktop, and auto top-up for expense card funding.

◆ Where it's heading

The assistant is being positioned as the pre-payroll review layer, where every change is a proposal the approver accepts rather than an automated write. Note-reading and cost-code reallocation together cover most of what made timecard cleanup a manual pass. Meanwhile the integration work is aimed at the same outcome from the other side: getting GPS-verified field hours into payroll and accounting systems without re-keying, which is what makes accurate job costing worth anything.

◆ Prediction

Time Assistant should reach the mobile app for managers and admins next, as the manager release states, and the approval-with-diff pattern is the likely template for any further automation Workyard applies to timecards.
